Turks & Caicos

Anyone who has spent time with young children knows that they like make-believe. Working in daycare, I like to play make-believe with them.
But this also means that you don't expect them to be telling "truths" a lot of the time. 😂😂.
For instance, in Prince George, if a 3.5 year old told you they are going on an airplane, they might be. They might be going to Vancouver to visit their grandparents.
Or... You could ask them where they are going in the airplane and they could just as easily say "to the sky" and fly away to the other side of the room.
Several years ago, a 3 year old told me that she was going on an airplane.
Knowing a statement like that could go anywhere, I started to chat with her about it. Since we had been playing, I thought it was going to be make believe. Well... I got as far as "Where are you going to go on your airplane?"
She answered, "Turks and Caicos."✈️🏝️🌅🌴🌞
Hahaha💜 I was so wrong in my original assumption of make believe! Chances are, only a 3.5 year old who is really going to Turks and Caicos, would know about it like that!
We had great conversations about what she knew so far. And I was looking forward to hearing about it when she came back. ❤️
Never underestimate a child. No matter how young.
